Kozara Memorial Monument
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prijedor

To honor tragic battle, the Kozara Memorial monument was erected in 1972. Designed by Dušan Džamonja, and built atop Mrakovica Mountain on a plateau surrounded by dense forest, the segmented tower stands 33 meters high. To honor the fallen dead, the names of 9921 of the Yugoslav partisans who gave their life for freedom during the World War II offensive are inscribed on a bronze memorial wall near the tower.

Mount Kablar

Popina Memorial Park

Predjama Castle

Its peculiarity is that it is located in a cave, and in the literal sense of the word. Its rocky cliff is a supporting element of the building, and it itself closes off a huge entrance to the cave. The castle became state property only after the end of World War II, since then it has been restored. The building is one of the best attractions, today it is used as a museum for excursions, as well as weddings.

Bubanj Memorial Park

This memorial park stands on the site of one of the largest mass executions of the Second World War. Bubanj Memorial Park marks and honors the location of one of the most horrific mass executions of the entire war, where more thаn 10,000 Serbs were taken prisoner, gathered and unceremoniously shot by invading German forces.
