A place untouched by modern buildings, as well as a beautiful primeval example of Carpathian architecture – the village-museum Vlkolínec. The village consists of two streets and 45 wooden houses, and the population of Vlkolínec is 35 residents. The most convenient way to get to this village is from the city of Ružomberok.

The Demanovska Cave of Freedom is part of a huge underground karst complex. Here you can admire the vaults of huge halls decorated with stalactites, as well as amazing underground rivers and a clear lake. The cave is recommended for people suffering from allergies. The underground microclimate has therapeutic properties.

Surrounded by hills, as if hidden from civilization, the village of Čičmany in the Rajecka Valley resembles an illustration from a children's fairy tale book. This architectural reserve has 136 wooden log houses, some 200 years old, decorated with incomparable ornaments that have become the calling card of the village.

It is one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the High Tatras. It was formed by glaciers that came down from the mountains in prehistoric times. If you decide to go to this area, remember that the best view of the lake opens from the ski center Areal Snov.

This interesting place is located on the territory of a nature reserve in the Low Tatras. The ice cave is one of the most interesting and largest, so it was included in the UNESCO list. Just imagine, the layers of frozen water in some halls reach a thickness of 25 m, and all this was formed over many centuries. The ice here is formed by cascades, columns, huge clusters of crystals and stalactites are visible everywhere.

The Low Tatras reserve deserves attention. It is considered one of the largest natural parks in the country. Its value is in the numerous karst caves, decorated with limestone formations. The low mountain ranges, 95 km long, also attract attention. It is noteworthy that their peaks have a characteristic angularity. This is explained by the convergence of glaciers.

On a travertine cliff stands a castle, unique in its turrets, vast park, and underground cave. It was built in the 9th century, namely for the royal family. During its existence, it was rebuilt several times. On the recommendation of many tourists, you cannot miss the opportunity to appreciate a real work of art in the form of the Boynice altar. It is located in one of the castle towers, and was made by a Florentine master in the 14th century.

The capital of Slovakia is rich in interesting places, one of the most significant is the blue church. At one time it was built in the Art Nouveau style, by the way, the sky shades prevail inside, the main decoration of the interior is the Italian mosaic. The design did not do without oriental motifs, it is known that according to the architect's idea, the existing decorative elements were to symbolize the conquests in the east of the country.

This is a unique landmark of Slovakia, because at the top of the pylon there is a structure resembling an unidentified flying object. The observation deck itself is located on the National Uprising Bridge, which is something contradictory. It does not unite the city's residents, but on the contrary, divides them. The length of the bridge is 431 m, it is suspended on only one pylon. It is at its top that the famous observation deck is located, along with a restaurant.

Another landmark of Slovakia is a castle that arose on the site of an old fortified settlement. At that time, a semicircular building with a dome and a residential tower "grew". The description says that over time, the fortress was repeatedly completed. And for a certain period of time, it belonged to the powerful nobleman Matus Cak.

The main feature of the water park is that it works all year round. You can not only have a good time there, but also celebrate a birthday, have fun with friends. Just imagine, mineral water is supplied to 11 pools from a depth of 2500 m. This is where the relict sea is located, which 40 million years ago was on the surface of the Liptov Basin. In some artificial reservoirs, the water temperature reaches 60 degrees Celsius, which makes it therapeutic.

The construction of Spišský began in the 11th century, the basis was the remains of a Celtic settlement. The castle has repeatedly successfully repelled enemy attacks, all because it was built on dolomite rocks, 200 m high. It has been repeatedly rebuilt, reconstructed, so the architecture of the building traces the Renaissance, Romanesque Gothic. Today, the building houses a museum, presenting medieval utensils, furniture, weapons and armor to the attention of visitors.

The total length of the dungeon reaches 2811 m, but only 720 m are open for excursions. The described landmark of Slovakia is interesting for its bizarre limestone layers, underground waterfalls. The halls inside are located at different levels, the differences between them sometimes reach 30 m.

A large number of historical monuments are concentrated in this place. The streets are not without government institutions and offices. The western part of the settlement is represented by a hilly surface, there is a castle, embassies of various countries. The eastern part of the Old Town is the historical and administrative center. There are many monuments, churches and other attractions concentrated on the territory.

Aggtelek is a village on the border with Slovakia. The area is most well-known for Aggtelek National Park. The park protects a vast area of caves. There are about 1000 caves and caverns that have been discovered in the area. While it’s not possible to visit all of them, it is possible to go on guided tours through some of them.
