The immovable remarkable object of spiritual creativity of the 17th century is considered one of the main attractions of Moldova. It rises on beautiful hills with dense forests. On one terrace there is a monastery with outbuildings, and on the other there is a pool-pond made of natural stone. Since 2000, the Curchi Monastery has been under the patronage of the UN.

Codri is one of the oldest nature reserves in Moldova, covering an area of ​​5,177 hectares. It is an ancient forest, home to rare species of animals and plants. The reserve is an excellent place for eco-tourism and wildlife watching. The forests of Codri are home to over 100 species of birds and many rare mammals, including red deer and wildcats.
