The natural monument "Hundred Hills" is spread over an area of about 1600 hectares. It is a hilly relief stretching along the Prut valley and occupies six Prut terraces. This is the only place in Europe where marine sediments of ancient seas that once covered this area - the Tortonian and Sarmatian - are concentrated in such a territory.
