The peaks of Shar-Planina rise to 2500 meters above sea level. There are as many as 70 lakes on Shar-Plania, each of which amazes with its beauty. Shar-Planina will delight nature lovers with its generous flora (almost two thousand species), of which 18 are found only here. Shar-Planina attracts tourists not only with its natural beauty. This territory was constantly changing from one invader to another, as evidenced by the remains of cities from the Roman, Byzantine and medieval periods.
